The Master of Science
in Engineering Management can be pursued with or without a thesis. Each program
requires 30 credit hours beyond the Bachelor's degree. Both thesis and
non-thesis students take four required core courses in the foundation areas of
Engineering Management followed by four courses in the department area of
specialization. To complete the degree program, students select either two
additional elective courses (non-thesis option) or six hours of EMGT 490 -
Research (thesis option).

The Engineering
Management program includes contributions from faculty with a wide range of
both academic and practical industrial experience. Students gain
knowledge in the concepts and theory underlying contemporary techniques in the
management and operation of technology-based organizations as well as how to
apply those principles in real-life situations.
A wide variety of jobs
are offered to Engineering Management graduates, including project engineering,
plant engineering, information technology, or engineering administration.
Our graduates are employed in many technology-based industries such as
aerospace, heavy equipment, electronics, and energy.

230-Management Accounting Systems AND EMGT
252-Financial Management do NOT
have to take EMGT 352 but will take EMGT 408 or EMGT 452 or EMGT 480
instead.
