Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management

What will I be studying?

Students interested in studying Engineering Management will be blending a technical engineering education with a core set of business and management courses and an approved technical focus area. The management core includes courses in integrated accounting and finance, engineering economics, quality philosophies and methods, project management, senior design, marketing, operations management, general management and strategic management. Technical focus choices include Management of Technology and Industrial Engineering. Students may also choose to study a general engineering technical area that is developed between the student and advisor.

The Engineering Management degree is an accredited engineering program enabling students to pursue professional engineering registration upon completion of the B.S. degree and after achieving a passing score on the Fundamentals In Engineering exam.

Students majoring in Engineering Management often are those who enjoy the technical challenges present in engineering curriculums, but also seek to address problems which require integration of higher level issues including business, finance, marketing and strategic management. They often enjoy working with people and technology-thus becoming the engineer who "Bridges The Gap" between engineering and management.
