USAES / Missouri S&T Cooperative Degree Program

The Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), in coordination with the U.S. Army Engineer School (USAES), offers Master of Science degrees through a Cooperative Degree program. Officers may choose to pursue a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management. Missouri S&T will grant graduate credit hours for the 18-week Engineer Captain's Career Course (ECCC) at Fort Leonard Wood.

As an ECCC student in Engineering Management, it only takes 16 evenings to earn the "Military Construction Management" certificate and 12 graduate credits that can be applied toward your MS-Engineering Management degree.

After the ECCC, students remain in the area and finish their MS by attending 16 weeks of coursework at FLW and/or Missouri S&T. Students also have the option to finish their degree program via distance learning.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, officers must meet Missouri S&T enrollment requirements. Reserve component officers are eligible to attend if their chain of command authorizes the extension.

Admission criteria
Admission criteria for ECCC students will be the same as for on-campus graduate students. The Department of the Army Form 1059 for the Engineer Officer Basic Course (EOBC) can be used by Missouri S&T as an official transcript, treating the academic work as equivalent to 15 hours of graded post-baccalaureate credit. These credits can be used in the undergraduate GPA computation for admission consideration.

The following programs are available to ECCC students through the USAES/Missouri S&T Cooperative Degree Program:
    MS-Engineering Management
    MS-Geological Engineering
    MS-Civil Engineering
    MS-Environmental Engineering

UM-St Louis offers the MPPA (Master of Public Policy Administration) to ECCC students.

For more information on any of these program, please contact the Missouri S&T/FLW Office by phone at (800) 441-5218 or by email at lahne@mst.edu or  fosterdo.mst.edu.
